Customer Charge
This fee covers a portion of NJNG's costs to serve our customers. It includes mailings, taxes, system maintenance and record keeping.
Delivery Charge (DEL)
This fee is for delivering your gas and maintaining the distribution system. It also includes approved price adjustments related to balancing gas deliveries, variances from normal weather and societal benefits programs such as environmental improvements and New Jersey's Clean Energy Program.
Basic Gas Supply Service (BGSS)
This fee is for the cost of the natural gas supply for customers who have not chosen a third-party supplier. This charge is incurred by NJNG and is directly passed through to our customers. The company makes no profit from this charge. For residential customers, this price represents the "price to compare."
Demand Charge
This fee covers a portion of NJNG's fixed costs to serve large commercial customers.
