Access to Your Meter
NJNG needs access to your meter in order to read it. Please keep your shrubs trimmed and your dog restrained when our meter reader visits. If your meter is in your house or is inaccessible, please call us to make special arrangements. If our meter readers can’t obtain a reading, they’ll leave a meter read form for you to fill out. The form explains how you can read your meter.

Customer Action Help Line
As an added customer service, we have a Customer Action Help Line for any customer who is unable to resolve an inquiry through customary channels. If a customer service representative is unable to satisfy your concern, please call a supervisor at 1-800-221-0051. If you’re still dissatisfied, call our Customer Action Help Line at 1-800-425-1109 or send an e-mail. Our Customer Advocate will personally resolve your inquiry as quickly as possible.
