New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) offers customers the resources and tools to make wise energy decisions through Conserve to Preserve®, which promotes wise energy use for the protection of our environment and natural resources. While traditional utilities try to sell as much natural gas as possible to stay in business, an innovative rate mechanism allows us to encourage and reward conservation while still providing the same safe and reliable service our customers expect and deserve. By conserving energy today, we can all make difference in the lives of future generations.
Why is Conserve to Preserve good for customers?
Customers who use the information and resources provided through Conserve to Preserve to make energy efficiency improvements and start conserving will see immediate savings on their natural gas bills. We estimate the average NJNG residential customer, following the tips in our Conserve to Preserve booklet, will save approximately $332 on their natural gas bill over a 12-month period. Though it benefits all customers, as well as our environment, to conserve, those who don’t will not be penalized.

NJNG will use the Conserve to Preserve Savings Seal to identify any idea,tip or program that can help you reduce your energy usage and save money on your bill. Look for it online and in your NJNG bill.
